Booking ahead is always better, particularly for weekends, wedding season and holiday dates when demand across the city is highest. Shorter notice requests are still worth asking about, since availability depends on the date rather than a fixed cut off.
Plans change, and an extra stop or a different finishing point can usually be handled. Let your chauffeur know as early in the booking as you can, so the timing works for everyone and any change to the reservation can be sorted out with you.
